FRUGAL FEBRUARY WRAP UP!

During the month of February, we did Frugal February - changing our habits to save as much money as possible! After the hectic holiday season catching up with friends and family, our wallets typically feel as though they’re shrinking rather than growing. That’s why we thought it was the perfect time to reset and save money for the next 12 months ahead. Here are some ways we engaged in #frugalfebruary saving habits!

PREPARE YOUR LUNCH AT WORK
It’s the same concept as preparing your lunch the night before, but if you hate soggy bread/wraps, bring all the ingredients to work and prepare it then and there! Hmmm…

HAVE AN INSTANT COFFEE DAY
We’re not saying completely ditch your cafe latte - just for ONE day. You know, Moccona’s are not that bad honestly.

COLLECT YOUR CHANGE
Put an empty jar (maybe an empty coffee jar from work…?) next to your bedside table and fill it up. You’ll be amazed with how much loose change you have - especially after a night out!

BRING YOUR DRINK BOTTLE TO WORK!
Purchasing bottled water here and there all adds up - not to mention it creates more havoc to our wonderful environment.

SWAP THE GYM FOR THE OUTDOORS
We know that the weather can play a big factor in whether or not we exercise indoors or outdoors. But when the weather is on point, take advantage of it! It will not only make you feel healthier, but you’ll save money on gym classes!

HOMEMADE INSTEAD OF BOUGHT
If you happen to loose a bet with your work colleagues and you get stuck with having to prepare morning tea - get some corn flakes, melt some honey, sugar & butter in a bowl, mix, whack into some patty pans, bake in the oven for 30 mins - BOOM! Morning tea sorted and left over corn flakes for breakfast all week.


DITCH THE CREDIT CARDS

USE UP YOUR XMAS VOUCHERS
Sure there is a sale on at Sportsgirl and you have a voucher to spend at Cotton on, but will people really notice the difference between two plain black jumpsuits?!
